Williams Valley Vikings (Tower City, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Line Mountain Eagles (Herndon, PA), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shenandoah Valley for a Schuylkill III challenge on Friday, April 21. Williams Valley will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Line Mountain falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Juniata (Mifflintown, PA) to face the Indians in a Tri-Valley challenge on Monday, April 24. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 8-0. Juniata won 24-0 in their recent league challenge against Halifax (Halifax, PA)
