The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) softball nipped the host Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.
The Spartans (14-7) will now prepare for their bout against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 13-5 record.
