Queen Anne's County Lions (Centreville, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Michaels Saints (St. Michaels, MD), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Dorchester for a Bayside - North challenge on Monday, April 24. Queen Anne's County will face a Eagles squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Cambridge-South Dorchester (Cambridge, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, St. Michaels falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Saints host North Caroline (Ridgely, MD) to face the Bulldogs in a Bayside - North challenge on Monday, April 24. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. North Caroline won 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Colonel Richardson (Federalsburg, MD)
