Springfield Blue Devils (Holland, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Ursula Academy Arrows (Toledo, OH), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Napoleon for a Northern Lakes challenge on Monday, April 24. Springfield will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to Fairview (Sherwood, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, St. Ursula Academy falls to 9-1 on the campaign. The Arrows host Findlay (Findlay, OH) to battle the Trojans in a Three Rivers Athletic challenge on Friday, April 21. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Findlay won 11-3 in their recent league challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH)
