In Saturday's non-league game, the host Batesville Bulldogs baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds.
The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Greensburg (Greensburg, IN). The Pirates go into the Eastern Indiana game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Greensburg tipped South Dearborn (Aurora, IN), 3-2, in a non-league game.
The Thoroughbreds (5-12) will now prepare for their game against Campbell County (Alexandria, KY). The Camels go into the non-league game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Campbell County tipped Walton-Verona (Walton, KY), 6-4, in a non-league game.
