In Saturday's non-league contest, the Alexandria Valley Cubs (Alexandria, AL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Pike Road Patriots (Pike Road, AL), by a margin of 12-4.

With the triumph, Alexandria moves its record to 29-11 on the year. The Valley Cubs travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, AL) to play the Golden Bears in a 5A Area 10 contest on Monday, April 22. The Golden Bears come into the contest with a record of 13-16. Lincoln lost 9-1 in their recent non-league contest against Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL)

In their next game, the Patriots play the Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 22. Pike Road will attempt to move on its 22-17 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 21-16 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to Bob Jones (Madison, AL).
