California High School Softball - Bellflower gets by Rio Hondo Prep

The Bellflower Buccaneers (Bellflower, CA) softball nipped the host Rio Hondo Prep Kares (Arcadia, CA), 13-12 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Buccaneers (6-10) will now prepare for their bout against Norwalk (Norwalk, CA). The Lancers go into the Suburban bout with a 16-9 record. In their last bout, Norwalk was edged by Paramount (Paramount, CA), 3-0, in a league bout.

The Kares now possess a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Flintridge Prep for a Prep bout on Tuesday, April 23. Rio Hondo Prep will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Muir (Pasadena, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 11-6.
