Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Rangers (Eastlake, OH), 10-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Austintown-Fitch for a All-American challenge on Monday, April 22. Boardman will face a Falcons squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Louisville (Louisville, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, North falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Gilmour Academy won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wickliffe (Wickliffe, OH)
