The Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL) softball the host Byron Tigers (Byron, IL), 5-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Indians (12-2) will now prepare for their bout against Orangeville (Orangeville, IL). The Broncos go into the NUIC East bout with a 14-3 record. In their last bout, Orangeville held off Galena (Galena, IL), 10-6, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Oregon for a Big Northern bout on Monday, April 22. Byron will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 21-3 non-league win over Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 9-7.
