South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Central Noble Cougars (Albion, IN), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Starfires now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. South Adams will face a Cadets squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Homestead (Fort Wayne, IN). The Cadets record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Central Noble falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Churubusco (Churubusco, IN) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Churubusco won 19-8 in their recent league challenge against West Noble (Ligonier, IN)
