Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), 20-1 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now sport a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host MacArthur for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Champaign Central will face a Generals squad coming off a 25-10 league win over Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL). The Generals record now stands at 5-10.

With the defeat, Peoria drops to 1-5 on the year. The Lions travel to Centennial (Champaign, IL) to clash with the Chargers in a Big Twelve game on Saturday, April 20. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 2-5. Centennial won 3-0 in their recent league game against Urbana (Urbana, IL)
