Fisher Bunnies (Fisher, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bunnies now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eureka for a Heart of Illinois challenge on Monday, April 22. Fisher will face a Hornets squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 3-14.

With the loss, Clifton Central falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Comets travel to St. Anne (St. Anne, IL) to face the Cardinals in a River Valley challenge on Monday, April 22. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-12. St. Anne lost 16-5 in their recent league challenge against Donovan (Donovan, IL)
