The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Lake Flyers (Millbury, OH) and the visiting Evergreen Vikings (Metamora, OH), saw Lake's softball squad nip Evergreen by a count of 14-13.

The Flyers now sport a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Genoa Area for a Northern Buckeye match on Monday, April 22. Lake will face a Comets squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Fostoria (Fostoria, OH). The Comets record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Evergreen falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Swanton (Swanton, OH) to face the Bulldogs in a Northwest Ohio Athletic match on Monday, April 22. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 7-4. Swanton lost 16-7 in their recent non-league match against Edgerton (Edgerton, OH)
