In Saturday's league outing, the visiting Hayfield Vikings softball team scored a close 8-4 win over the Goodhue Wildcats.
Coming up next, the Vikings battle the Medford Tigers (Medford, MN) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, April 23. Hayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 1-3 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN).
The Wildcats (3-6) will now prepare for their outing against Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN). The Komets enter the Hiawatha Valley outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Kasson-Mantorville was routed by Randolph (Randolph, MN), 11-0, in a non-league outing.
