Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting West Orange Mountaineers (West Orange, NJ), 4-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hackensack upgrades its record to 4-9 on the year. The Comets travel to Ridgewood (Ridgewood, NJ) to play the Maroons in a Big North - Freedom game on Monday, April 22. The Maroons enter the game with a record of 6-3. Ridgewood won 8-3 in their recent non-league game against Newton (Newton, NJ)

The Mountaineers now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Newark Tech for a SEC - Colonial game on Wednesday, April 24.
