Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Orange Beach Makos (Orange Beach, AL), 6-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Hazel Green upgrades its record to 30-11 on the year. The Trojans host Athens (Athens, AL) to play the Golden Eagles in a 6A Area 16 game on Tuesday, April 23. The Golden Eagles enter the game with a record of 17-9. Athens lost 12-4 in their recent non-league game against Sparkman (Harvest, AL)
The Makos now own a 34-1 record. They play next when they host Fairhope for a non-league game on Thursday, April 25. Orange Beach will play a Pirates squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Baker (Mobile, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 19-16.
