In Saturday's non-league test, the Ilwaco Fishermen (Ilwaco, WA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Wahkiakum Mules (Cathlamet, WA), by a count of 18-0.
Next, the Fishermen meet the Pe Ell/Willapa Valley (Menlo, WA) in a 2B Pacific test, on Wednesday, April 24. Ilwaco will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 7-3 league loss to Ocosta (Westport, WA).
The Mules (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Napavine (Napavine, WA). The Tigers go into the 2B Central test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Napavine toppled Mossyrock (Mossyrock, WA), 20-16, in a non-league test.
