Westview Wolverines (San Diego, CA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA), 5-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Westview upgrades its record to 12-7 on the year. The Wolverines host Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA) to play the Sundevils in a Valley North County game on Tuesday, April 23. The Sundevils enter the game with a record of 11-9. Mt. Carmel won 4-1 in their recent non-league game against El Camino (Oceanside, CA)

The Mavericks now own a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Torrey Pines for a Coastal North County game on Wednesday, April 24. La Costa Canyon will play a Falcons squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 15-3.
