Illinois High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces Lincoln

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) and the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), observed Mt. Vernon's softball team get by Lincoln by a tally of 7-2.

The Rams (9-10) will now prepare for their bout against Charleston (Charleston, IL). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 12-1 record. In their last bout, Charleston tipped Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL), 8-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Railsplitters battle the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, April 24. Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 6-15 season record.
