Madison Academy Mustangs (Madison, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Clair County Fighting Saints (Odenville, AL), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 23-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. Madison Academy will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-2 league loss to Weaver (Weaver, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, St. Clair County falls to 8-16 on the campaign. The Fighting saints travel to Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 17-6. Spring Garden won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL)
