West Muskingum Tornadoes (Zanesville, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Newcomerstown Trojans (Newcomerstown, OH), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Morgan for a Muskingum Valley challenge on Monday, April 22. West Muskingum will play a Raiders team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 6-1.

In their next game, the Trojans play the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints (New Philadelphia, OH) in a Inter-Valley contest, on Monday, April 22. Newcomerstown will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Saints come into the contest with a 3-12 record after their 4-2 league loss to Sandy Valley (Magnolia, OH).
