Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hamilton Heights for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Yorktown will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Huskies record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Union County falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN) to battle the Tigers in a Tri-Eastern challenge on Monday, April 22. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Hagerstown won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN)
