In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Canfield Cardinals baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Highland Regional Tartans.
The Cardinals (11-2) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals go into the non-league game with a 13-5 record. In their last game, Bishop Ireton tipped McKinley (Niles, OH), 14-4, in a non-league game.
The Tartans (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Delsea (Franklinville, NJ). The Crusaders go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record.
