In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Hampshire Whip-Purs baseball team scored a tight 14-10 victory over the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes.
The Whip-Purs (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL). The Tigers go into the Fox Valley - Valley game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, Crystal Lake Central tipped Jacobs (Algonquin, IL), 11-2, in a league game.
The Hurricanes (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Crusaders go into the Big Northern game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Lutheran was overwhelmed by Byron (Byron, IL), 14-8, in a league game.
