North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers confront the Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 23. North Mac will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Southwestern (Piasa, IL).

The Trojans now have a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they host Southwestern for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Auburn will confront a Piasa Birds team coming off a 7-0 league win over Litchfield (Litchfield, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 10-3.
