The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Carbondale Area Chargers (Carbondale, PA) and the host Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), saw Carbondale Area's softball squad nip Scranton by a count of 8-5.

The Chargers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Dunmore for a Lackawanna 3 match on Monday, April 25. Carbondale Area will face a Bucks squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Mid Valley (Throop, PA). The Bucks record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Scranton falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to North Pocono (Covington Township, PA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, April 22. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 3-0.
