The Tremont Turks routed the host Fieldcrest Knights softball squad by a count of 11-3 in Thursday's league battle.

The Turks (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Redbirds go into the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Metamora topped Washington (Washington, IL), 6-4, in a league battle.

The Knights now sport a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley for a Heart of Illinois battle on Friday, April 22. Fieldcrest will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 7-2 league loss to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 4-5.
