Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS), 23-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Kaws now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson West for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. Perry-Lecompton will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 12-11 non-league loss to Sabetha (Sabetha, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Royal Valley falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS) to battle the Thunder in a Big Seven challenge on Monday, April 25. The Thunder enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Nemaha Central lost 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Holton (Holton, KS)
