Richfield Wildcats (Richfield, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Providence Hall Patriots (Herriman, UT), 13-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 7-17 record. They take the field next when they host Emery for a 3A Region 12 challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Richfield will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 15-11 non-league win over Gunnison Valley (Gunnison, UT). The Spartans record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Providence Hall falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Patriots host Judge Memorial (Salt Lake City, UT) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-14. Judge Memorial lost 18-3 in their recent league challenge against American Leadership Academy (Spanish Fork, UT)
