Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Shorecrest Scots (Seattle, WA), 20-6 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Murphy for a 2A/3A Wesco challenge on Monday, April 25. Stanwood will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Everett (Everett, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Shorecrest falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Scots travel to Everett (Everett, WA) to battle the Seagulls in a 2A/3A Wesco challenge on Monday, May 2. The Seagulls enter the challenge with a record of 8-1.
