In Friday's non-league game, the host Cherokee Chiefs baseball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Harlan County Black Bears.
The Chiefs (17-7) will now prepare for their game against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, Northview Academy tipped Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN), 8-2, in a non-league game.
The Black Bears (9-6) will now prepare for their game against West Greene (Mosheim, TN). The Buffaloes go into the non-league game with a 8-4 record.
