The Phillips Exeter Academy Lions baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Lawrence Academy Spartans to 6 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.
The Lions (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA). The Penguins go into the Central New England match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Cushing Academy was edged by Phillips Academy (Andover, MA), 10-3, in a league match.
The Spartans (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Governor's Academy (Byfield, MA). The Governors go into the Independent School outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Governor's Academy was tipped by Buckingham Browne & Nichols (Cambridge, MA), 4-2, in a league outing.
