The Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host St. Thomas More Sabers to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs (16-3) will now prepare for their match against Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Tornadoes go into the Apollo match with a 4-6 record. In their last match, Taylorville was overwhelmed by Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL), 5-2, in a non-league match.
The Sabers (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 2-18 record. In their last match, Olympia was overwhelmed by Beardstown (Beardstown, IL), 10-5, in a non-league match.
