The Port Neches-Groves Indians baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Sterling Rangers to 0 in the Indians league victory on Friday.
The Indians (7-5) will now prepare for their match against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 17 match with a 7-7 record. In their last match, Barbers Hill was overwhelmed by Crosby (Crosby, TX), 3-0, in a league match.
The Rangers (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Wisdom (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the non-league match with a 1-9 record. In their last match, Wisdom was overwhelmed by Galena Park (Galena Park, TX), 10-0, in a league match.
