Athens Red Hawks (Troy, MI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Adams Highlanders (Rochester, MI), 12-11 in a non-league battle.
The Red Hawks now have a 1-1 record.
In their next game, the Highlanders clash with the Stoney Creek Cougars (Rochester Hills, MI) in a Division 2 Region 7 battle, on Monday, April 24. Adams will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record.
