In Friday's non-league contest, the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 14-0.
With the triumph, Sandia Prep moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Sundevils travel to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to play the Elks/Elkettes in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 27. The Elks/Elkettes come into the contest with a record of 7-6.
In their next game, the Hornets play the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 25. Highland will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record.
