The Wakefield Fighting Owls lacrosse squad (The Plains, VA), was overwhelmed 13-5 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA)
Coming up next, the Eagles meet the Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA) in a VISAA Division 3 challenge, on Monday, April 24. Covenant will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Celtics enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 26-2 non-league loss to Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA).
The Fighting Owls now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Fredericksburg Academy for a VISAA Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Wakefield will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 17-1 league loss to Highland (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-5.
