Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Beauregard Hornets (Opelika, AL), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Jackson for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. Oxford will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Madison County (Gurley, AL). The Chiefs record now stands at 18-10.

With the loss, Beauregard falls to 17-19 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Cedar Bluff won 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL)
