Beaver Beavers (Lisbon, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH), 11-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Beavers now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cambridge for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. Beaver will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Meadowbrook (Byesville, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Struthers falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host McKinley (Niles, OH) to face the Red Dragons in a Northeast Eight Athletic challenge on Monday, April 24. The Red Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 0-14. McKinley lost 11-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH)
