Spanaway Lake Sentinels (Spanaway, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bellarmine Prep Lions (Tacoma, WA), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Sentinels now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Bonney Lake for a 3A Pierce County challenge on Monday, April 24. Spanaway Lake will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 15-1 league win over Lincoln (Tacoma, WA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Bellarmine Prep falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Lions host Olympia (Olympia, WA) to battle the Bears in a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Monday, April 24. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Olympia won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Rogers (Puyallup, WA)
