Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs (Berne, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Duanesburg Eagles (Delanson, NY), 13-8 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Averill Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will face a Warriors squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Duanesburg falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY) to face the Braves in a Section 2 Western - Northern challenge on Monday, April 24. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Fonda-Fultonville won 19-3 in their recent league challenge against Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY)
