The Marblehead Magicians got by the visiting Beverly Panthers softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Friday's league battle.

The Magicians (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA). The Tanners go into the Northeast battle with a 3-0 record.

The Panthers now sport a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Concord-Carlisle for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 27.
