Carroll Cougars (Flora, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Peru Tigers (Peru, IN), 14-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Taylor for a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Tuesday, April 25.

With the loss, Peru falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Whitko (South Whitley, IN) to face the Wildcats in a Three Rivers challenge on Monday, April 24. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Whitko lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Wawasee (Syracuse, IN)
