California High School Softball - El Capitan Stone Ridge Christian

Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Stone Ridge Christian Knights (Merced, CA) and the host El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), witnessed Stone Ridge Christian's softball squad tip El Capitan by a count of 4-1.

The Knights now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Riverbank for a non-league match on Monday, April 24. Stone Ridge Christian will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Hilmar (Hilmar, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, El Capitan moves to 7-6 on the season. The Gauchos host Central Valley (Ceres, CA) to meet the Hawks in a Central California Conference match on Monday, April 24. The Hawks go into the match with a record of 12-3. Central Valley lost 2-0 in their recent league match against Atwater (Atwater, CA)
