The crowd at Friday's league match between the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) and the host Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL), saw Hillsboro's softball squad nip Greenville by a count of 4-1.

The Hiltoppers now sport a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Staunton for a South Central match on Tuesday, April 25. Hillsboro will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Greenville falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Litchfield (Litchfield, IL) to face the Purple Panthers in a South Central match on Tuesday, April 25. The Purple Panthers enter the match with a record of 6-9.
