Maryland High School Baseball - Avalon holds off Georgetown Day

The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD) and the visiting Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers (Washington, DC), saw Avalon's baseball team gain a win over Georgetown Day by a tally of 9-5.
The Black Knights (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Landon (Bethesda, MD). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 15-6 record. In their last battle, Landon held off Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), 13-4, in a league battle.
Next, the Mighty Hoppers face the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions (Potomac, MD) in a Mid-Atlantic-MAC battle, on Friday, April 25. Georgetown Day will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 1-11 record after their 4-0 league loss to Georgetown Day (Washington, DC).
