North Carolina High School Baseball - Ayden - Grifton wallops West Columbus

The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) and the visiting West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), saw Ayden - Grifton's baseball team beat West Columbus by a margin of 16-1.

The Chargers (15-5) will now prepare for their battle against New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, New Bern was overwhelmed by South Central (Winterville, NC), 9-8, in a league battle.

Next, the Vikings face the Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 22. West Columbus will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a 8-10 record after their 13-3 non-league loss to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC).
