The Hammond Morton Governors baseball team scored 19 runs and held the host Bowman Academy Eagles to 2 in the Governors non-league win on Monday.
The Governors now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gary West Side for a Great Lakes test on Tuesday, April 22. Hammond Morton will play a Cougars team coming off a 21-1 league loss to Hammond Central (Hammond, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 0-4.
With the defeat, Bowman Academy drops to 1-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Tri-Township (LaCrosse, IN) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 23. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 2-3. Tri-Township lost 21-1 in their recent league test against South Central (Union Mills, IN)
