The Columbia Wildcats baseball squad (Columbia, NC), was overwhelmed 7-1 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC)
The Rams now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Bethel Assembly Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Ridgecroft will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 10-4 league loss to New Life Academy (Elizabeth City, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Columbia drops to 6-10 on the year. The Wildcats host Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC) to clash with the Hurricanes in a Atlantic 1A challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Hurricanes go into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Cape Hatteras lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern Christian HomeSchool (Washington, NC)
