The Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) baseball trounced the visiting Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO), 24-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherry Creek for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 25. Cherokee Trail will clash with a Bruins team coming off a 20-5 non-league win over Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO). The Bruins record now stands at 9-1.
With the defeat, Smoky Hill drops to 3-7 on the year. The Buffaloes travel to Mullen (Denver, CO) to clash with the Mustangs in a challenge on Wednesday, April 23. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Mullen won 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Grandview (Aurora, CO)
